The Spiritual Case Against Euthanasia

1) What all advocates of euthanasia and suicide do not know and what they should understand – indeed what all people, even non-advocates of euthanasia and suicide should know and understand as their opinions can easily change as circumstances and conditions change – is that the physical world and all aspects of existence in the physical world have been created by spirit solely for the purpose of spiritual development and evolution.
2) If it is true that spirit and the things and considerations of the spirit govern life - and should govern life - then it is also true that spirit and the things and considerations of the spirit govern death - and should govern death - because death is merely one aspect and one experience of life. Death is a part of life. It is part of the life experience and it can not and should not be separated from it. Yet it so often is – and it is the case that spirit and the things and considerations of the spirit are so often erroneously separated from death also. This, of course, is what happens when people contemplate or perform euthanasia. It seems to me that we just cannot remove spirit from any aspect of life and still have things as they spiritually should be.
